Equipment-
Advance mobility freedom jogger This jogging stroller comes highly recommended by one of our Tetrasomy 18P parents..Velvet says:
"We were very impressed with the Advance Mobility Freedom Jogger; as a
matter of fact, we took a photograph of Samantha 'trying it on for
size' when it arrived. I had spent several weeks researching similar
products and determined that this brand was the best for our child's
needs: Our daughter, is mobile, but has a chromosome 18 duplication and
limits in endurance due to differing leg lengths. With our active
family and 4 other siblings, we are forever on the go; needing a
product which helps alleviate activity restriction. Many other
similar-looking items simply do not take into consideration the height
of a child; although some would suffice weight capacity, they were far
too small for our growing child. We are impressed with the construction
of the Freedom push chair as well as its ability to fold for transport.
Customer service was friendly and accommodating and thus, I recommended
the website to several groups, including a well-renown pediatric
hospital who I knew to be seeking a quality product. There is a huge
gap for valued items such as this. Thank you very much for your
business and I will continue to refer others in the future."

Special Child Exchange is a Yahoo group of parents that "recycles" used equipment. I bought Katie's Maclaren Major big stroller from a member here for $190.00 including shipping which is a fraction of the cost new, it was in wonderful condition too!! I highly recommend this wonderful group!
Special Needs Equipment Exchange Another equipment exchange site on Ivillage, I do not personally have any expierence with them but it does look good!
A petition for including accessible restrooms in airplane manufacture Here
The Bedwetting StoreIn our group of kids - as with many children
with developmental delay - bathroom skills are often an issue.
Reminders or prompts are sometimes required about using the bathroom,
but even for us, as parents, it can be difficult to always remember (or
to be present) to let the child know it is time to try every couple of
hours/however frequent the need is. Vibrate instead of a bell or chime so
school age children classmates can not hear it, also excellent for hearing impaired.
* I personally use an alarm watch for an assistance to remind me to take Katie to the potty, it has been a great help! She has had many successes because I was able to remember to take her instead
of getting so involved in something and finding time passed faster than i thought and Opps..to late!
